The questions
we get asked most.
Answers to the questions advertisers in Saint-Martin, St Barth, French Guiana and Monaco ask before their first radio campaign.
How much does a radio ad cost in Saint-Martin or St Barth?
The price depends on four things: the length of the ad (usually 20 or 30 seconds), the number of airings per day, the length of the campaign and the station you choose — NRJ 103.9, Radio St Barth or both together. Expect €11.50 to €16 per airing depending on length, with volume discounts; each plan is then built to measure. The simulator gives you an instant estimate, and the detailed quote arrives within 24 hours.
Which stations can popcom air my ad on?
popcom airs ads on NRJ 103.9 FM in Saint-Martin, Radio St Barth 98.7 and 100.7 FM (St Barth and Saint-Martin), Nostalgie in French Guiana (Cayenne, Kourou, Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni) and Radio St Barth on DAB+ in Monaco and on the French Riviera.
How long before my ad goes on air?
Once we've approved the script, the ad is recorded and mixed in the studio, then delivered within 24 to 48 working hours. It then goes to the station's programme director and airs on the start date in your schedule.
Are scriptwriting and production included?
Yes. Scriptwriting is included with popcom. After approval, a producer records the voice-over and mixes it in the studio. You get a ready-to-air ad, with no need for another agency.
NRJ 103.9 or Radio St Barth: which one should I choose?
NRJ 103.9 FM is a Hit Music Only station in Saint-Martin with a large, young audience (ages 15–49, French and Dutch sides). It suits retail, restaurants, events, cars and leisure.
Radio St Barth is a gold-format station covering St Barth and Saint-Martin, listened to by professionals, decision-makers and long-term residents. It suits hotels, real estate, yachting and high-end services.
Booking both stations lets you reach both islands with a single ad.
What's the right length for a radio ad?
Most ads run 20 to 30 seconds. 20 seconds is enough for a simple message (a promotion, an opening, an event). 30 seconds leaves room for a real sound world, useful for an awareness campaign or a new brand.
Is radio advertising right for a small local business?
Yes. On islands like Saint-Martin and St Barth, radio reaches a concentrated local audience, and the schedule adapts to your budget by adjusting the number of airings and the campaign length. The 320-plus brands popcom has worked with include independent shops as well as major accounts.
Who handles my campaign at popcom?
Victoria Lavat, founder of popcom, is your single contact from the first brief to broadcast: 7 years of experience in the Northern Islands radio market, more than 2,700 ads produced and more than 320 brands on air.
